About the Guild

The CUSO Guild unites community members of all ages in supporting and appreciating the CUSO and the youth music engagement programs of the Guild and the CUSO.

CUSO Guild members support and participate in these activities and programs:

  • Guild volunteers assist in benefits and other fundraisers supporting youth music education.
  • The Guild sells coverlets depicting many of the famous buildings on the UIUC campus to support the CUSO.

Guild Membership

  • Learning opportunities: Pre-concert lectures focus on upcoming CUSO programs. Lectures are usually led by CUSO Music Director and Conductor Stephen Alltop. Occasionally, we are joined by guest artists appearing with the CUSO.
  • Newsletters: Our newsletters keep you abreast of ongoing events and happenings in the Guild and the CUSO.
  • General membership meetings: Spring and fall meetings feature entertaining programs and refreshments.
  • Meet people from all walks of life with similar interests, and increase your musical appreciation and enjoyment!

Choose your level of participation!

You can be an active volunteer by joining a committee and getting involved in the planning and organization of our events, simply help with mailings occasionally, or usher at the CUSO Youth Concerts. You also can choose to provide financial support only. Any level of support you choose will be appreciated—and an important contribution to the culture of our community.

We need your support, time, and talent.
