Please join Maestro Stephen Alltop and CUSO Principal players and musicians for a chamber concert performance presenting exciting new music by CUSO Music Alive Composer-in-Residence Stacy Garrop. Garrop’s music focuses on dramatic and lyrical storytelling. Legends of Olympus and Athena Triumphant present vivid musical portraits of immortal Greek gods who have been captivating audiences for centuries. Gwendolyn Brooks’ modern legend of “Seven at the Golden Shovel” is told in the art song, We Real Cool. We hope you will join us for this musical journey, inspired by legendary myth and poetry.
