at Prairie Fruits Farm!

Sunday, September 23, 2018 | 2:00–4:00 p.m.

Prairie Fruits Farm & Creamery

4410 N. Lincoln Avenue, Champaign

As a prelude to the CUSO 2018-19 season, “Our World, Our Music,” celebrate Mother Earth’s summer harvest with CUSO at Prairie Fruits Farm & Creamery in Champaign! Enjoy an environmentally friendly concert, free gelato, farm tours, and the goats! CUSO flutist Amanda Pond and string quartet musicians Maria Arrua, Aaron Jacobs, Robin Kearton, and Barbara Hedlund will perform new chamber music by CUSO Music Alive Composer-in-Residence Stacy Garrop that pays tribute to our planet.

PFFC owners Wes Jarrell and Leslie Cooperband will share the latest news about their sustainability efforts on the farm. Take a tour of the farm, visit the goats, and participate in our “Messages to Gaia” community art project—where you can draw pictures, write poetry, or simply share your thoughts about our planet. Come enjoy! This event is a program of Stacy Garrop’s Music Alive residency with CUSO and is sponsored by New Music USA and Prairie Fruits Farm & Creamery.
